Our Philosophy

At Sawsan’s Daycare, we believe that childhood encompasses the most critical developmental stages. We understand that every child is unique, and we work hard to make sure that we meet each child’s unique needs.

Our most important goal is for all the children in our care to feel that they are in a warm, welcoming place – like they are in their own homes. We believe that care in a home environment fosters a loving and caring atmosphere for infants, as well as a supportive family structure as they grow to become school-aged children. Having a small group of different ages is a unique benefit of care in a family daycare. In such an environment, the older children teach, encourage, play with and care for the younger children, learning to be patient and compassionate leaders. At the same time, the younger children learn quickly from the older ones.

Our early education program focuses on building self-esteem and leadership skills. Our daily activities focus on developing problem-solving, social, and communication skills while emphasizing creativity. At a very early age, we encourage a love for reading with our large library of books for all young ages. In addition, we aim to make sure that all the children in our care are developmentally on-track and ready for school when the time comes.

Nutrition is a central part of our child care philosophy. My assistant and I are certified by the Nutrition, Education & Child Care Food Program to make sure that we always serve only healthy foods and balanced meals. Furthermore, we encourage a love of healthy eating in our early education curriculum.

Finally, we are very supportive of the parents who entrust us with the care of their children. We work with parents as a team to provide their children with everything they need to grow healthy and happy.
